TORTUGUERO

 NATIONAL PARK

A tropical humid forest, located in the North East of Costa Rica. You can explore the jungle and see many wildlife such as monkeys, birds, toucans, iguanas , small caymans and many water birds. Tortuguero beach is famous for the Giant Green Turtles which nest their eggs in the Caribbean sand. (May to November )

No road to Tortuguero. Access by boat or plane only . 

When visiting Tortuguero  please bring tenis shoes , rain jacket, hat, suntan lotion, insect repellent, light clothes and a flashlight. 

Tortuguero

Access

By boat or plane. No road to Tortuguero.
Driving time from San José: 3 hours to river dock and 1 hour by boat.
Flying time from San José: 30 minutes.
